American Peak Seasonal Produce List - April
This peak seasonal list is for the American states with the Northeast, followed by the South, the Midwest, the Southwest and finally the Western states. Even though other produce will be in season in your area, this list is compiled of ingredients that are at the peak of their season only.



The Northeast – April


MAINE
Apples, arugula, lettuce, onions, parsnips, scallions and radishes.

MASSACHUSETTS
Dormant.

NEW HAMPSHIRE
Dormant.

MARYLAND
Maple Syrup

RHODE ISLAND
Collard greens, ginger, kale, lettuce and mushrooms.

CONNECTICUT
Spinach.

NEW YORK
Apples, carrots, onions and potatoes.

VERMONT
Dormant.

PENNSYLVANIA
Asparagus.

NEW JERSEY
Asparagus and spinach.

DELAWARE
Asparagus, lettuce, mushrooms, spinach and turnips.


The Southern States – April


ALABAMA
Beets, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, onions, snow peas, spinach, strawberries and turnip greens.

ARKANSAS
Asparagus and lettuce.

FLORIDA
Blueberries, cantaloupe, cucumbers, corn, eggplant, green beans, radishes, strawberries, tomatoes and watermelon.

GEORGIA
Arugula, asparagus, beets, cabbage, lettuce, radish, spinach, strawberries and turnips.

KENTUCKY
Dormant.

LOUISIANA
Artichokes, blueberries, fava beans, green beans, lettuce, radish, scallions, strawberries and turnips.

MISSISSIPPI
Asparagus, collard greens, lettuce, strawberries, Vidalia onions and turnips.

NORTH CAROLINA
Broccoli, lettuce, sweet potatoes and strawberries.

SOUTH CAROLINA
Cabbage and lettuces.

TENNESSEE
Dormant.

VIRGINIA
Asparagus and spinach.

WEST VIRGINIA
Arugula, asparagus, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, lettuce, mushrooms and radishes.

The Midwest – April


ILLINOIS
Asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, onions, peas and spinach.

INDIANA
Asparagus and spinach.

IOWA
Asian greens, kohlrabi, lettuce and spinach.

KANSAS
Lettuce and radish.

MICHIGAN
Asparagus, broccoli, cabbage and lettuce.

MINNESOTA
Dormant.

MISSOURI
Asparagus, lettuce, peas, scallions and spinach.

NEBRASKA
Dormant.

NORTH DAKOTA
Cabbage.

OHIO
Asparagus and spinach.

SOUTH DAKOTA
Asparagus, nettles, rhubarb, sorrels and spinach.

WISCONSIN

The Southwest – April



ARIZONA
Artichokes, asparagus, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, collard greens, grapefruit, kale, lemons and radish.

NEW MEXICO
Arugula, asparagus, Swiss Chard, collard greens, kale, lettuces, radishes, rhubarb, spinach and sugar snap peas.

OKLAHOMA
Beets, Brussels sprouts, peas, lettuce, onions, radish, Swiss chard and turnips.

TEXAS
Blackberries, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, grapefruit, oranges, peaches, spinach, strawberries and turnips.

The Western States – April


ALASKA
Carrots and potatoes.

CALIFORNIA
Artichokes, asparagus, beets, cherries, kohlrabi, lettuce, mushrooms, spinach, strawberries and tangerines.

COLORADO
Dormant.

HAWAII
Corn, cucumber, eggplant, ginger, mangoes, oranges, peppers, pineapple, strawberries, taro root.

IDAHO
Apples, asparagus and potatoes.

MONTANA
Asparagus and rhubarb.

NEVADA
Dormant.

OREGON
Asparagus, lettuce and rhubarb.

UTAH
Dormant.

WASHINGTON
Asparagus, cauliflower, garlic, lettuce, mushrooms, pears and spinach.

WYOMING
Asparagus, beets, cucumber, eggplant, kale, lettuce, peppers and rhubarb.
