About the BellaOnline Weddings Editor
Christina Marie McBride
A wedding is an exceptional time in a woman’s life; a time of joy, love and utter excitement. It is the opportunity a bride and her fiancé have to express their love while receiving love and support from family and friends in return. The final portrait of this magical day is one of pure happiness, a moment that will make every ounce of effort you put in worth it.
My hope for this site is to offer a realistic view of the “fairytale” wedding, giving insight to the actual process of planning this special day. There is no doubt that designing a wedding can be magical, like the first time a bride sees herself in a wedding dress – but it’s important to remember, a wedding can be a huge undertaking that requires tremendous organization and patience. There will be times you want to throw in the towel and say, “to hell with it, let’s elope!” But I promise, as you walk down the aisle every worry and stress inducing experience will melt away and all you will feel is love!
I put my training in Meeting & Event Planning from Sonoma State University to good use as I planned my large Irish-Italian wedding in December 2012. Spending the majority of 2012 focused on planning my own wedding, I realized that weddings are where I want to put my energy. I want to offer all I can to brides creating their special day, but with a hint more reality than you tend to get from other sources. I want to be honest about the emotions you feel as a bride-to-be (the good, the bad and the ugly), while also inspiring creativity to make your day uniquely yours. Regardless of the type of bride you are, the end result should always be the same – you marrying your best friend and having the time of your life!
I hope to share from my own experience and tap into the many resources and relationships I’ve maintained with vendors from the beautiful Northern California Wine Country. This is the perfect opportunity for me to share what I love and continue to grow and cultivate creativity within the field of Wedding Planning.
